Purpose and function in the centre console

The presented centre console ashtray serves as a lockable storage compartment in the tunnel between the seats, integrating a space for small items and an area intended for use as an ashtray into a single module. The design was developed specifically for the Audi interior, ensuring that the element harmoniously blends with the lines of the dashboard and centre tunnel, without the need for modifications or adjustments to the mounts. This type of solution is particularly beneficial for drivers who want to maintain the factory character of the interior while expecting functional and orderly space management within the console area.

Construction and ergonomics of use

The ashtray has been designed as an integral storage module, which facilitates daily operation. The opening and closing mechanism is located in the upper part so that access is convenient for both the driver and the front passenger. The profile of the front panel is matched to the shape of the centre console, which reduces the risk of gaps and unsightly spaces between elements. The interior of the storage compartment is adapted for use in conditions typical of a car cabin, and the materials used ensure dimensional stability and resistance to standard operational loads. As a result, the module performs well both in daily city driving and during longer trips.

Benefits of using an original Audi component

Using an original centre console ashtray in an Audi A3/S3 8P offers a number of practical advantages:

• Factory fit – compatibility of shape, mounts, and finish with other centre tunnel elements.
• Consistent interior aesthetics – no differences in shade or texture of the material compared to original console components.
• Predictable performance in operation – the module is designed according to the vehicle manufacturer's standards.
• Possibility to restore the condition close to factory-new after previous removal or damage to the previous element. By choosing such a component, you gain certainty of compatibility with the Audi interior design, which facilitates installation and reduces the risk of improper fitment.

Used condition and installation aspects

The item comes from the secondary market, which allows you to combine a reasonable purchase cost with the preservation of the original manufacturer's specifications. The used condition means that the module has been previously operated, but is still suitable for further use as an ashtray and storage compartment in the centre console. This is a particularly attractive solution for repairs, renovation, or restoring the completeness of interior equipment. Due to its factory origin, installation is based on the original mounting points in the centre tunnel. In practice, this means that with the correct selection of parts for a specific version of the Audi A3/S3 8P, the installation is predictable and does not require interference with the console structure.
