Purpose and body fitment

The presented window glass is designed specifically for installation in the front right door of a second-generation Toyota RAV4. The placement on the vehicle is clearly defined as the front passenger side, which facilitates the selection of the correct part during post-accident repairs or when replacing a worn-out window. The green tint of the glass is characteristic of many factory configurations of this model, ensuring that the window integrates harmoniously with the side line of the body and maintains the visual consistency of the vehicle.

Characteristics of AS2 glass

Glass marked with the AS2 class meets rigorous requirements regarding light transmission and safety for use in the side zone of a vehicle. This type of glass is designed to:

• ensure proper visibility in various lighting conditions,
• reduce excessive interior heating thanks to the green tint,
• maintain optical stability without image distortion. As a result, the window performs well in both daily city driving and on longer trips, supporting driving comfort and the clarity of the road environment.

Benefits of using original Toyota glass

Using a component from the Toyota brand ensures the maintenance of factory-set fitment parameters for the door frame, guides, and the window lifting mechanism. The appropriate edge geometry and correct glass profile facilitate installation and promote proper interaction with seals, which is important for airtightness and reducing cabin noise. A product from the Car windows category of this type is a good choice for repairs where maintaining the original characteristics of the vehicle is essential, without compromising on fitment and functionality.

Condition and use in repairs

The window is offered as a used part, which allows for economical repair while maintaining parameters close to factory specifications. This type of component is particularly useful in:

• post-accident repairs of the right side of the body,
• replacing scratched or mechanically damaged windows,
• restoring the completeness of the door after bodywork and paint repairs. It is always worth confirming the selection of the correct window for a specific RAV4 version based on the VIN and OEM number – a dedicated guide will be helpful in this regard.

How to correctly select a window by VIN and OEM number

To ensure that the selected window will be fully compatible with your Toyota, it is worth using practical tips on identifying parts by the vehicle identification number and manufacturer markings. A detailed description of the process, along with a list of questions for the seller and a parameter verification scheme, can be found in the article Guide: how to select the right car part by VIN and OEM number.
