Purpose and function of the component

The cover is dedicated for installation in the rear bumper of BMW E82 and E88 series models, in the factory-designated spot for access to the towing point. Its task is to protect the opening from dirt and moisture and to maintain the continuity of the bumper surface. Thanks to its precise fit to the shape of the bumper, installation is straightforward and does not require any additional modifications.

Color and visual fit

The factory color Titansilber Metallic - 354 allows for a seamless match with the vehicle's paint in the same shade, without the need for additional painting if the bumper is in good condition. The metallic coating provides the characteristic BMW shine and uniform light reflection, which is particularly important in the rear area, which is highly visible during daily use.

Installation characteristics

The cover belongs to the body component group Bumper inserts and covers, which means it was designed as a part complementing the factory bumper structure. The design allows for installation in the original slot, using standard mounting points. This solution makes it easy to restore the original appearance of the vehicle after bodywork and paint repairs or after removing the tow bar.

Condition and practical application

The item comes from dismantling, which makes it an attractive alternative to new parts while maintaining original geometry and compatibility with the factory bumper. This is a good solution in situations where the priority is to restore the completeness of the body and improve the appearance of the rear of the vehicle at a reasonable cost. The cover will work well both for post-accident repairs and for replacing missing details after previous modifications.

Expansion of the repair zone and additional materials

If you are planning a comprehensive repair or upgrade of the rear bumper zone in your BMW and need other elements from the same group, such as covers, inserts, or additional plugs, check the available parts in the BMW bumper inserts and covers category.
